As he lay sleeping

by Cimara   Sep 17, 2006

His eyes are tightly closed,
but still she lyes awake.
Quietly smiling at her man,
at the heaves his chest does make.

Counting his long black eyelashes,
"one two three four five.."
His naked body wrapped up in her own,
makes her feel so loved and alive.

She nuzzles into his neck,
her luscious lips on his milky skin.
The smell of his sweet aroma,
makes her heart want to dance and sing.

She watches his every movement,
with pure amazement and utter awe.
Searching every inch of skin,
she is still unable to find any flaws.

Listing to his soft little snores,
her giggles she must hide.
She looks at him with such affection,
thinking of the day she will be his bride.

Suddenly she is overcome,
the love infiltrates her heart.
She is struck by such strong emotions,
it cripples each of her body parts.

As the love of her life lays beside her,
so peacefully and beautifully sleeping,
she is overwhelmed with love for her man,
so she lyes watching and gently weeping.

So truly and deeply in love. You express yourself in that you leave no doubt in how you feel. Really nice poem Cimara...

Its a good piece i work i think, but there's one tiny, tiny, tiny thing i think you should change. IN the forth stanza, i think you can write 'flaw' instead of 'flaws'. It will still make sense, plus it will keep a stronger flow. Other than that tiny, tiny, tiny little thing, i thik the poem was great. Love, depth, and a good use of wording...what's not to like?
