Yesterday

by Emily parsons   Sep 20, 2006

Yesterday Bled with Such Force
As I marked your territory, in bloom
The Cuts, The Pores, My Weeping sores
Relied on tomorrow to heal the wound

Tears Fall Down Like A Dark storm,
As you share your bed with another
The Cries, The lies the restless sighs
Say goodbye to the Selfish lover

Mountain tops stare at me blankly
Through the Window of doubt in my mind
The Cuts, The Pores, My Weeping sores
Scream, the love you're leaving behind.

By now my presence is shamefully lost
As you sing to the eyes of another
No Sighs, No Lies, Just solemn cries
As I lay down my heart for you, lover
