Black Rainbow

by Twisted Heart   Sep 23, 2006

The twisted spirals curved in the sky
Among the thunder of the storm
The lightning pierces jagged fingers
Into its humbled lifeless form.

Upon the wicked night it crashes
No color lingers in its path
Broken pieces of shattered light
Bow before the fierce attack.

In distance comes the torrid rain
To splash against the angry sphere
Meager strikes in weak defense
Among the blades of deadly tears.

It slices through the veins of bondage
And curves once more in shadow's caste
Taking the strength of those around it
To rise above the littered path.

Black arches of a shadow lingers
To claim witness to the skies of gray
And calm the harried stars of valor
With streaks of darkness on display.
