HIM

by Saraphene   Sep 26, 2006

There he is inside my head.
Always.
There he is inside my thoughts.
Always.
Can I remember A time when he wasn't there?
Never.
He's always been there,
stuck in my head,
stuck in my dreams,
caught in my life with the colour of sounds.
He makes violins taste like lemons in my mouth when I hear them.
Makes the world fill with colours, and sounds, and light, and tastes.
Yet I don't want him there.
Yet he'll never go.
The voice in my head,
Will keep talking to me.

Wow. I'm sorry I made you cry!
I'm glad you like my poems and that you can understand them and relate to them. I would love to see my poems published but I really wouldn't know how to go about that.

That must have been so strange waking up with something so new and different that you've no choice but get used to.

Now i understand about the lemons! It must be an odd experience to taste things not in your mouth. But i expect if you grow up with it no one would really feel its any different.

thanks. i wrote that a few days ago now and I'm not entirely sure where it came from. I just picked up a pen and that's what started to unravel. I guess it stems partially from the politics at the moment, the generaly attitude i see everyday in almost everyone. It's a sad prospect but it is what's happening. people are beginning to stop caring. I'm glad you thought it was good.

    Thanks for replying!

I have to say i think this works really well. I understand much better about the other poem through reading this. As a poem i think this is good but I don't really understand the line about 'tasting like lemons'.It also is much longer than the other lines and stands out quite a bit because of it.

I really like the 'stuck in my head | stuck in my dreams'. I think that is very good.
