Solitary Suffering

by Ashes of a Black Rose aka Night Child   Oct 1, 2006

I have no love.
For that,
As everything else,
Was lost.
It dissolved into the darkness of the night,
Disguised by the blackness of a shattered heart.
My time was wasted by loving,
And never being loved in return.
But a new day comes, and life moves on.
The others will look for it,
This “love” of which I have no hope of collecting.
I am condemned to a life of exclusion,
Forever alone and unloved.
They cannot perceive this pain,
But it is alive,
Inside.
Forever alone in my mourning,
Surviving each day unaccompanied,
With nothing to give,
With nothing received.
I am to perish in solitude and suffering,
Unloved,
Slowly fading along with my hope,
Among no others.

I loved your poem. It's so sad, and the worst thing is that I know what you're talking about. You described the feeling perfectly, and beautifully.

I don't know how you did it but you really expressed pure sadness, maybe I felt it that way, because it's how I really feel.

    This was my favorite part:

My time was wasted by loving,
And never being loved in return.

    Great job!

    Keep writing 5/5
