Diamonds On The Inside

by Jessica   Oct 2, 2006

Slowly breathing in, struggling to relax
Fidgeting uncomfortably, crying within
The happiness removed like hairs by wax
Evil crawling quickly beneath tender skin..

Silently cut by thousands of diamonds inside
Sparkling gaily yet gently destroying all there
Pressing lips tightly shut, remaining teary eyed
From sadness to anger, a fire within me does flare..

Greasy tears flowing from roots of black hair
Pain slowly protruding out of distraught pale skin
Finding it hard to breathe, desperately sucking in air
Exhaustedly releasing the pressure, letting you in..

Maybe it's just because I just read HBP, but when I read "Greasy tears flowing from roots of black hair" my first thought was, Severus?

"Exhaustedly releasing the pressure, letting you in.."

That has got to be my favorite line in the poem. The flow was great, and the poem gave me chills as I read it. The feeling I got after reading this poem was kinda eerie...but that's a good thing! Keep up the great work!
