A Lady With The Truest Heart

by Daenerys Stormborn   Oct 5, 2006

The rose that blooms within your chest, captures my mind in a shell of stars
I am a knight of Avalon; you are my quest, galloping across the white sands of mars
For I would ride the backs of dragons, as a pirate seeking ancient treasure
To ride the course of your heart's fins, and climb the mountain of your pleasure

I would battle the witches of the North Pole, as a lion with a king's ambition
With eyes blindfolded to know your soul, equaling your beauty--my intuition
And through the darkest caves of Hades, I would slay the devil as you see fit
With hands locked by Persephone's keys, or with Arthur's sword; the eminent

In a masquerade of the truest hearts, I could unmask you without a thought
For you, my lady, stand far apart, embracing perfection in a way they have naught
Now please speak your words carefully, for I will take each one to the grave
Have you a place in your beautiful heart for me, or shall I remain your slave?
