To mom

1,000 times
we've sat and talked
your daughter's boat
has not been rocked
my stringy bangs
and dirty mirror
are all i have
to show this year
what's wrong is right
what's right is wrong
the sunny days
are getting long
the moon is hiding
from my eyes
1,000 roads
1,000 tries
and still I never
see the end
it's really just
another bend
around a corner
it makes me sick
endless motion
myself I trick
don't you see
that I see it all?
I know what's coming
I'm ready to fall

just let me go
I'll still be here
but I can do without
your hands over my ears
I'll be your friend
I'll follow the light
I'll stay on top
without your fight
unclasp your hand
from around my wrist
the hell can help me
I promise you this
just walk beside me
don't tower above
I'm growing taller
I don't fit the glove
I don't fit the mold
you made for me
you pick a flower
I climb a tree
I'm higher up
I can see the view
you think I"m young
and don't know as much as you
you ran your race
you learned your rules
now let me run
don't think I'm a fool
I know what can happen
I'll run the risk
I'll choose my distance
from death's black kiss
I'm sorry Mom

You have a very unique writing style, but it flows very well despite the short lines. It's very neat to read, and I like it a lot. Keep it up! Jpoet*
