Tears [Clarity Pyramid]

by Jessica   Oct 11, 2006

TEARS
Dribble
Painfully

Hearts pulling apart
Eyes reflecting hatred
Emotions cruelly emptied

"Smiles cover pain; but tears free it"

A clarity pyramid consists of two triplets and a single line (7 lines all-together. The first triplet has one, two, and three syllables. The title of the poem is the one syllable word of the first triplet and is displayed in all capital letters. The second triplet has five, six, and seven syllables. It's design is based around a life event contained within the triplet which helps give a poetic outlook on the title. The last line is eight syllables, and is in quotations, as this line contains a quote that defines the first line.

Very painfully and sadly written but I loved it all the same. I like the form of writing you used and you had a great choice of words in this one too! 5/5 Keep up the good work! Thx for the comment too, it meant a lot to me!

Wow, this is my favourite, short, simple, straight to the point, and it shows the amount of talent you have because these type of poems are hard to write. another 5/5
