A Beating Heart Part 2 {Quatrain}

by xTheEcstasyOfSuicidex   Oct 11, 2006

I know, it is short, and some do not like short... But, it was written for a contest of only four lines.
---------------------------------------

A sample of heart is not deep beneath the chest,
Held in your hand is your heart to be behind the breast.
Squeezing tightly to your majestic treasure, you will not lose,
Unless letting go of your heart is what you choose.

----------------------------------------

A Quatrain is a poem consisting of four lines of verse with a specific rhyming scheme.

A few examples of a quatrain rhyming scheme are as follows:

#1) abab
#2) abba -- envelope rhyme
#3) aabb
#4) aaba, bbcb, ccdc, dddd -- chain rhyme

    Short but sweet! Love it---the only thing that I caught is that "loose" should be "lose"------Other than that, amazing! 5/5
