A Gothic Romance

by Cooper   Oct 24, 2006

Bitter sweet,
like the cowering scent of decay.
A sharp intake,
of air that Men forsake.
Toxic as greed to,
the hearts of devils like you.

Sharply thorned,
like black rose suicides.
On a star fall wish,
by a pleasant anguish,
to which wolves sing upon;
A melody of full moon weddings.

Brightly leered,
like the bride of creatures feared.
Clasped in hand:
the golden marriage band.
By dark raven caws,
the gothic vows and sacred laws.

For all is mirrors,
in the river of forest tears.
Where Luna eyes,
the Lycanthrope rise.
And a vampyric blood dance,
for this sinful, gothic romance.

    Excellent indeed
I love this poem...especially this part:
    For all is mirrors,
in the river of forest tears.
    Where Luna eyes,
    the Lycanthrope rise.
    And a vampyric blood dance,
    for this sinful, gothic romance.

That was ravishing, what beautiful imagery and you kept the morbid feeling so consistently AND with rhyme. Only ten poems?!?!?! You have got to be kidding me! You go write more you!

I think you're a very interesting writer. I don't think I've read anything quite like the work you've accomplished. But I do like it. Your symbolism is amazing. And your viewpoints are very unique. Nice job!
