Endless Winter Nights

by Cooper   Oct 24, 2006

Suicide in lily's cove,
with the twinkling blanket of stars.
A blade of poison slow,
brings deep blood stains,
to the virgin snow.
And spider masked maidens,
charm like gypsy thieves.

Where a shattered ghost,
trapped in loss,
bearing a heart of black frost,
Shall never be released,
From the cold in which these nights never cease.
A sleepy death does that cold implore,
devouring the lost, in white shadows of the frore.

Drowned past, a forgotten year,
like snowflakes through this cold and clear.
When alas, a man crawling from his crystal tomb,
to gaze upon beauty's doom.
Upon a distant night,
with only tragedies to recite,
Sorrow was only hollow tears, on an ice cold cheek.

When slain was His wintry Queen,
and crimson were,
her pleading tears unseen.
Now a coffin sails from the frozen shore,
on which lovers lie, the nights before.
And on every morrow,
endless is, the winter's sorrow.
