The Sun Still Shines

The Sun Still Shines

The sun peered through the clouds as it rained
An effect that leaves a glare on my window
Rain doesn't fall everyday but the sun always rises
Look at the bright side of things once in a while

It's easier to see the negative and ignore the positive
But which one is worth more to you in the end?
It may rain everyday but the sun will still shine
You may have a bad day but you can still smile

A lot of people let the tiny things bring them down
When all they need to do is suck it up and move on
It's easier said than done until you've actually tried
But starting is always one of the hardest things to do

You are the maker of your own life decisions
Blaming others and seeking pity will never help
Pick up the pieces and figure it out for yourself
Giving up is the first step to true failure

You will never appreciate the good,
Until you have experienced the bad.

You make some very pertinent observations here that are expressed clearly with a nice positive overtone. I think the final 2 lines sum things up perfectly.

Whie I ejoyed this poem, I believe your love poems and sad poems are a better quality writing wise yet I really thought well of this idea that you had. Especially you're final couplet, as it is true about finding happiness. Your imagery was nice though, with my avorite being the effect of the rain on the window : )
