Distant rose

by Elynnka   Oct 26, 2006

Locked up in what seems to be a prison cell
For what accusations no one could really tell -
What damage can such a beautiful creation
Do to this decaying selfish nation?

A small crack in the wall is smothering the light
And its distorted rays gently touch this pretty sight;
Petals blood like red warp the future seed
Of the spawns this world is bound to breed.

Small droplets of dew adorn its thorns and leaves
Heavenly peace instilled – a cure that pain relieves
Golden rays outline this forgotten rose of grace
Enslaved away from the world in this jading place.

A fragile butterfly forces its flight through this hole
Led by the eyes that see outside from within its soul -
This sanctuary built with petal walls is meant for those
Who have eyes to see the true beauty of a rose

And if by any chance you can look beyond distance
Let your senses allured inside this peaceful silence
And you will come to find the miracles hidden here,
Deep within this rose where confidence reigns over fear.
