December

by Rachel   Oct 27, 2006

Winter.
Such a cold time
Not to have you her with me.
The crisp leaves lay frozen
On the ground,
Thinking of you.
The frigid air stings my eyes,
As the tears start to fall,
Like the rain drops on the leaves.
My heart is growing cold and lonely
Without your hands wrapped around it.
The sun goes down on the abandoned town,
You know this place is nothing without you.
Take a look at what you left behind.
Your memory is smeared all over my life.
I walk, and my mind is lost among the crowd.
Trying to find an answer,
Find a reason for it all.
Starting out the window
at 3 AM is pointless.
The stars may shine bright,
But they don't have enough light
To guide you back here.
Just come home,
I'm a wreck without you,
And my soul is on fire.
I'm certain that I'm losing my mind.
December's so lonely without you.
The leaves fall to the ground without a sound,
While I'm screaming in my room.
In my room, I only lay thinking of you.
