Under The Skies Above

by Rene   Nov 1, 2006

There once was a lady
She was homeless without a doubt
No money, belongings or family, but absolutely not crazy
It seemed she carried on without any guide
She listened to her voice within, only followed the light

She spent her time trying to survive
She was educated and dressed nicely
From day to day she went on by
It seemed it was no mystery
This lady was filled with delight

This homeless lady only yearned for affection
It burned deep in her heart, and she constantly cried
But then it came to God's attention
She was pure, and divine

Now you may ask, is this lady on drugs?
No, her Ecstasy is life.
Does she need a hug?
Not from you, she can carry on without anybody else
Well she's certainly a thug.
Let me ask, What is a thug to you?
Someone who can never love?
I say your wrong. We're all the same under the skies above
