Call

by Scrittore   Nov 6, 2006

I’m waiting here by the phone a promised call never rings
Should I be surprised by the lack of act on your guarantee?
Of course by my persuasion to you from my one too many drinks
Was a message left that guaranteed a silent phone indeed.

Ah I do remember the glee of emotions to deep to conceive
Caused by a light that would emanate of a receiver received
And vows then weren’t a necessity as the future was foretold
One dial per new sun was enough to keep any woman consoled

Cold and lonely the quiet lingers an echo of unspoken dismissal
Here again a scriber scribing in her mind yet another epistle
Again this letter will not reach the hands to whom it is addressed
The unmarked parchment only causing a gentle heart more distress

*NOT FINISHED*

(I'm not on my computer... and I need to save it)
