Drink Then Drive

by Scrittore   Nov 8, 2006

An Accident has happened
I saw it with my own eyes
The tears that I am shedding
Is only a disguise
I’m sorry for has happened
I should have helped you
Maybe I could have stopped it too.
Did this have to happen?
Did the cars have to crash?
I could have stopped it
All the power was in my hand
I knew you weren’t sober
Even though it was well hid
I could have stopped you
But you’re not a kid
I thought you knew what will happen
If you drink then drive
All the rules still apply
This didn’t have to happen
I could have taken the drink away
My mind is in a clutter
As the ambulance drives away
I’m in despair wondering why I didn’t care
When I got in my house
I heard the phone ring
I answered it and my friend was thanking me
Soon I know why I stopped him from taking that ride
He didn’t know he wasn’t suppose to drink then drive
