Amaranthine Blooms

by N J Thornton   Nov 11, 2006

Those who argue with sheep
are shammyclad in basic black,
as controversy needs
an open mind.

Odd innovations
forward of our time,
are emerging into our
brickwork today.

Yet, we stand in yesterday.

In a liberated world
individuality should be
as novel as vanilla.

Instead, it's as rare,
as amaranthine blooms.

**Basic poem about discrimination of individuality.

Excellent! In many of your other poems I see a good use of imagery and some metaphor, but I rarely see backing a actual concept, such as individuality. I love it.

Now...if I knwe what amaranthine meant I would be able to understand this poem more. haha. but it's a really creative piece like most of your work. I'm going to look up the word now.

Unfortunately I didn't understand the full concept of the poem .. but from what I got from it, it was pretty well done.

Definitely not a poem for children as most of the words here children wouldn't understand.

    Overall, good poem.

I think this is an excellent poem. It's very unique and very true. Individuality is rare, so are poems like these, which are written about these types of topics. I enjoyed reading this alot. Excellent write. 5/5 Keep it up.
