I know I can’t be feeling this way I do about you
I can’t hide it - you see it in my eyes and I see it in yours too
But we both know that it is wrong so refrain from our hearts
You have a happy family and I have my college books

Our chemistry is apparent and most often people comment
I protest, he’s a married man, but people still gossip
My lips tremble when I have the privilege of your touch
We both know I shake cause I want you so much

Time would seem slow for I fell for you too quick
I consider when I thought I could never be in this predicament
But I knew that night when you first and last held me close
That I truly love you but you can never know

My time with you is a countdown nearing it’s end
While I’m gone I hope your promised letters you do send
We can stay in touch but no longer will there be temptation
So your happy home won’t conclude with our flirtation
