Weakened

by Cella Bella   Nov 16, 2006

Blinded by shame filled tears,
Tears that burn with regret

Falling into a restless sleep,
A sleep where I cannot dream

Screaming, with a voice unheard,
A voice dismembered by my hate

I cannot bear this silent torture,
A torture, cruel and undefined

I hide my burden of sorrow,
Sorrow I can no longer carry

For, I am weakened

My faults have become heavy
Faults I have not begun to accept

It reminds me how regretting one's past mistakes and failures through bad decision-making can prolong one's misery. This piece was, once again, written and presented rather well and sound. A delightful read, nonetheless. 5/5 ~Marian
