Today is today

by Pianist   Nov 25, 2006

A flurry of words
and hateful intent
breaks a strong will
foul messages sent.
Nashing their teeth
their eyes all aglow,
Kindness disappears,
distain's overflow.
Then out of the rain
a smile appears.
A helping hand
and a jar full of tears.
I have felt your pain
says the mysterious voice.
I know how you feel
and you still have a choice.
Come with me young one,
I shall guide you on your way.
Tomorrow is tommorrow,
Today is today.

Owch...Downvoted, I take it? Sad...this is a very good poem.

I love the hidden meaning behind this...It really speaks throughout the poem. Every line was perfect and strong save for my least favorite line "and a jar full of tears.". It seemed weak and I felt you could have found a stronger sentence...But, mine is only an opinion.
Nicely done. Sorry that you were downrated.
    Take Care.
