Christmas Dream

by Jessie   Dec 3, 2006

Milk in a cup, and cookies on a platter
The children of the house all hear a clatter

Everyone waking up with a start
Nobody could hear anything but each others heart

With each child watching from the last stair
They could see Santa Claus breaking each others chair

With a gasp escaping their bright red lips
Santa put his hands on what he called his hips

With a frown on his face, and cheeks turning red
He rushes all the children back to bed

He pulled the blankets around each child tight
Cause he knew they could be gone in a flash of light

With each chair broken and no presents under the tree
He leaves behind one large fee

With a snap of his fingers and a wiggle of his nose
Up the chimney he rose

The little one up to see if it was all what it seemed
The rest followed to see if it was all dreamed

They all rushed to the tree
But presents was all they could see
