Beautiful wings
Shining in the dim
God, take back your gift
These wings aren't for me

I had sinned a thousand times
Did you wrong neglected my life
Sold my soul to thy demon, You see ~
These wings aren't for me

I threw back the faith you gave
Anger and madness written on my face
I'm not worthy, take back your gift
These wings aren't for me

An Angel I cannot be
These wings aren't for me
In heaven I cannot dwell
So leave me in this hell

Your gift I refuse to receive
These wings aren't for me
Take it back, take back your gift
Can't you see! I'm cuddling the demon in me

    Very good poem. your writing is very unique and the subject of your story is interesting. i like how the character kept refusing the wings, saying they weren't deserving of them. 5/5
