Trapped Soul

by ♥Diana Cardero ©♥   Dec 9, 2006

A helpless soul trapped in the wrong body
A body sculpture intended to inevitably kill

A soul aching in an urge to break out in misery
But caught in between the lines if history

Can't sleep, although the body sleeps
Can only yearn for help in unremitting weeps

But why this soul can't be set free
Why can't life comfort it, and just let it be

Because it is trapped in a decade
That doesn't belong and is far faded

Although this soul has no chance of being unwrapped
A voice in her mind that speaks fantasies that overlap

L so don't fear for her
That her destiny shall not lie far

It is sad yet deep. It keeps a fear that you could lose your soul while reading it, then gain it back in the end. That meaning, it drags you into the poem. Keep up the awsome work. I will promis to keep reading your poems and commenting on them
