Viva La Revolution

by Lady Vengeance   Dec 10, 2006

March to the music
Of death and deceit
With A tune to bring tears
And a beat for defeat

Follow the whispers
That echo aloud
The voice of our freedom
And song of the proud

Die for the chorus
That proclaims our rights
Hold true to your people
Stand back up and fight

Power to people
The sweet Melody
The demise and collapse
Of the hierarchy

As the music fades
So does oppression
They had the weapons
But we had obsession.

Fabulous opening! Althought i think the capital A was unintentional? I could be wrong =)
Once again, your rhythm is amazing, it really helps the reader to locate the beat in the words
    Well done

The poem flowed really well and left me wanting more. I liked that every phrase seemed carefully thought of and so every small bit had such meaning. I especially like the phrase: 'beat for defeat'. Wow. xxx

Again, I loved the flow to this one. The last stanza was sort of off with it, but it still worked well.

The rhymes you used were terrific yet again, and didn't seem cliche at all.

The whole idea of this poem was both depressing and a great read. It really reminds me of war and how life is like today compared to what it was like even 15 years ago. Wel done. =) 5/5 xoxo
