Glitter Covered Diamonds (Paradelle)

by Gem   Dec 12, 2006

(The hardest poem I've ever done... I'm pretty proud =)

Snow gently falling
Snow gently falling
Softly floating whispers
Softly floating whispers
Snow floating gently
Whispers falling softly

Sparkles covered the town
Sparkles covered the town
Twinkles in moonlight
Twinkles in moonlight
Moonlight covered sparkles
Twinkles in the town

Glitter dancing diamonds
Glitter dancing diamonds
Lightly soaring down
Lightly soaring down
Glitter diamonds soaring
Dancing lightly down

Twinkles softly dancing
Falling, soaring down
Moonlight whispers gently
Lightly falling snow
Glitter covered diamonds
Sparkles in the town ©

"Paradelle - This is more of a word puzzle than any other poem and is a difficult format to master.
A paradelle is a repetition of lines with each stanza ending in two lines which use all the words in the previous lines.
Also the very last stanza uses ALL the words from all previous stanzas."

This is AWESOME, i really like formed poetry and i have to admit to never hearing of this one, It flows really well and under the constraint of the form itself i imagine that when trying to execute it it is not an easy thing to do.

Great job, i'm might even try one myself at some point!

That was SO beautiful. And please read that with as much enthusiasm as I would being saying it with because it definately deserves it. You said it was hard to write but when you read it it just flows wonderfully. Great job once again! And congrats on placing! :)
