All I Want For Christmas

My friends are always asking me
About this time of year
What I want for Christmas
What would bring me Cheer.

Would I like some jewelry
But they don't know my tastes
So for them to buy it for me
Would really be a waste.

How about some sweet perfume
Yuck, sweet stuff makes me cringe
And nothing that I could eat
For I'm sure that I would binge.

I really don't collect the things
Trinkets, frills, or lace
Don't try buying any of these
You'll not find them in my place.

So after thinking really hard
I've found a gift that rocks
Go to your nearest Wal-mart
And buy me some light pink socks.

Why Pink, they always ask me
And they have the right to know
Socks, because I need them
And the Pink is just for show.

Socks have a way of disappearing
right before my eyes
They find there way onto the feet
Of my kids, I don't know why.

When the kids are looking for
a pair of socks to wear
It's so much easier to find
That mom has got a pair.

Next thing I know I've lost them
When I find them on the feet
Of prancing little children
Out playing in the leaves.

Now after thinking of a gift
Made especially for me
A pair of light pink socks
Is the perfect cup of tea.

My son would never wear them
Pink is just too sissy
My daughter dresses all in black
She stays away from what is prissy.

So after thinking of the many things
My kids would take away
Pink socks are what I ask for
'Cause with me they'd surely stay.
