The End Of Our Stories

by Nicholas Kerst   Dec 14, 2006

You wish that you could see,
The despair thats always hidden,
You look into her eyes,
And you know your not forgiven.

You see the tears and sadness,
And you beg to help what hurts,
But your heart is screaming at you,
You just refuse it to be heard.

She says its all ok,
She says that its alright,
But the truth that lies inside,
Isn't spared from your sight.

You try to fix it all,
You want to always be there,
You say it will all work out,
But honestly your scared.

You don't want to be without her,
So you try, and try again,
But your just hurting yourself more,
And you know this is the end.

Your desperate attempts, failed,
And there are no words left to send,
So you write a stupid poem,
About two hearts that will never mend.
