I Am Me

by Scrittore   Dec 17, 2006

I am me
I’m always tired but I can never sleep
I can be a major dork sometimes and I am always forgetting things
I prepare for the worst and hope for the best
Even then I am still a mess
I love to write but my spelling sucks
My dream is to sing that I won’t give up
I hate goodbyes and I cry when a happy story end
It seems I’m always lonely, even when I have friends
I can’t give directions and I’m always lost
I hate winter but I get excited by the sign of it’s first frost
I fall over myself when I’m in love
I’ll kill to be close even just for a hug
I hate when it’s not sunny but I love thunderstorms
And I get just a little too excited when a rainbow forms
The moon in any phase puts me in a trance
I wish on the brightest star when given the chance
It’s the little things in life that makes me smile
Finding songs that fit me makes life worthwhile
I’m stubborn and never give up on a good fight
I’m always wrong even when I’m right
I am used but still brand new
I smile even when I am blue
But that makes me, me.

Good poem. I like the comparisons and contradictory sense of the poem. If that's a description of you, then you seem to me like a tough girl.

Bravo....You have done such a wonderful job with this. You have a real talent and I love how you have put your emotions in this. Don't ever give up on your dreams and always just always be yourself. You won't disappoint if you live up to your own expectations and always strive to be the the best that only you can be. There is a little goofiness in all of us and this was a great way of showing that it's just life. Great Job here. 5/5
