Hi, I'm That Girl

by Christina McDowell   Dec 24, 2006

I'm that girl who smiles to everyone
I'm that girl who waves kindly to everyone
I'm that girl who is unique
I'm that girl who was Homecoming Queen for two years

I'm that girl who cheer leads like one for the NFL
I'm that girl who sings like an angel
I'm that girl who plays violin like from the heavens

I'm that girl who every girl wants to be friends with
I'm that girl who every guy wants to get with
I'm that girl with a "perfect body"

I'm that girl who dances hip-hop like a fly girl
I'm that girl with a cute complexion
I'm that girl who is 5'5 and weighs 120 lbs.
I'm that girl who gets her number asked every time she goes out

I'm that girl who is the life of the party
I'm that girl who can play football like a guy

But, I'm that girl who cries herself to sleep every night
I'm that girl who wants to be left alone
I'm that girl who longs to be invisible
I'm that girl who wants to fly away

I'm that girl who runs her friends
I'm that girl who wants to go deaf
I'm that girl who wishes to be ugly
I'm that girl who doesn't want to have to look good all the time

I'm that girl who wants to sleep and never wake
I'm that girl who wears a mask and is unknown
I'm that girl who's willing to change
I'm that girl who's tired of being perfect

Accept me for who I am
Don't acknowledge me as "That Girl"
Am I just "That girl?"
Is that all I am in your eyes?
