Dancing ghosts

by Espoirfailed   Dec 31, 2006

I'd go on forever
But what would be the point.
The heaviness just
Drags me deeper
The emptiness just
Leaves me weaker.

When your lies
Were just flowers
So great once
So malicious this hour
When they take in the light
That I need to live
They take away my love
I've nothing left to give.

What a twisted shadow
The lights cast,
Dancing ghosts are all that
Remains of my past.

Drowning from these
Chains of oppression
Fading away from
The fight of depression.
It stabs at my heart
And though it's dark
It hits me hard
It throws me down
It lets me drown.
I stumble
I fall
No way to get back up
No way at all.
