Kryptonite

by emptily whole   Jan 5, 2007

He gently held her hand,
Promising never to let go,
They dreamt of walking together through sand,
He loved her; it wos blaitantly true.

The love they felt was overwhelming,
The depth of their relationship sunk them swiftly,
Constantly they were changing things; amending,
Everything was happening too quickly.

She knew boys were no good for her,
But she knew he was her hero,
He saved her from the pain she felt,
It was all a lie she could make - believe.

She fell for him; felt like she lived for him,
He dedicated all he had towards her,
He wouldn\'t do a single thing,
To cause her any hurt.

\"Will you be my kryptonite?\"
She sweetly and gently questioned,
\"Everything will change tonight\",
She began to realise how she wished she\'d leraned.

He was her kryptonite,
She was his epitome of perfection,
The bitterness changed the feeling in one night,
Mixed feelings caused a complication.

He hated the fact that she attmepted to take control,
His heart froze; stuttered and speechless,
\"You can\'t make my heart whole\"
He replied half - heartidly; almost tearless.

He didn\'t dare to think of how she felt,
Out she ran; salty tears streaming down her face,
He managed to make her heart melt,
And shatter it into pieces like a nutcase.

\"So much for my kryptonite\"
She whispered in her trembling voice,
She wiped her tears away as she cried,
Learning the hard way; knowing she\'d never have a kryptonite.
