A love to learn from

by just a poet   Jan 5, 2007

Sitting so very close to one another,
yet both so very far away in other worlds,
the perfect couple that ever walked the earth,
having lost the passion that kept them one.

one sad soulful look is shared and,
the heart wrenching truth is realized,
both seeing for the first time how close they sit,
but how far away the are at heart.

and as this realization hits them once more,
they feel the beginnings of a fire burn in their souls,
for they do not want to give up now,
for they met in the name of love and would end the same way.

neither could help the other for this was,
something they had to open their eyes to alone,
and a path they alone had to decide to take,
a binding oath they must choose to re-take.

those year ago when they said I do,
both meant to stay together for all time,
and now they had began to see once again,
the beauty and passion in the other's eyes.

as they shared that passionate glance,
each fell in to the other's arms,
for their was not a trivial love to be thrown away,
but a love that would not end this day.

Yes, it is about that guy... I wish that I could meet him... one day. That day's the day we can walk on the beach and be free to do as we please; one day :)
