A Bitter Winter\'s Death

by DeadGirl AKA Becka   Jan 8, 2007

A cold winter night...
I walk alone...
my hair is frozen...
it's hard as stone...

step by step...
I walk away...
from all my painful cry's...
From all the delay...

Every teer...
thats rolls down my cheek...
it freezes before me...
shiny and sleek...

A cold sheet of breath...
yes I do see...
My feet almost frozen...
It's all meant to be...

Each and every step...
That I do take...
Gets harder every minute...
It's harder for me to shake...

I finally fall...
grasping the snow...
I'm breathing deep...
No where to go...

I look around...
and see but white...
everything goes black...
I lay here tonight...

All of my travel...
through this brutal cold...
was all for a reason...
a reason unknown...

Unknown to you...
But not to me...
I no longer wanted to be here...
For what you can see.

I now lay here...
in my icy cold bed...
I am finally where I wanted...
I finally am dead...

(I thought I would try to write something with a winter setting, I don't know how good it is, but...I tried) ** Luvs ** ~DeadGirl~

Lovely. This is an awesome poem. I mean, on this site there are a lot of poems about death, but for once it isn't cliche, you picked a totally new setting.

Hope to see more original work soon!
