I am writting you

by silence   Jan 19, 2007

You're locked in your cell
With nothing else to do
But sit around and read this poem
That I am writing you

I'll try to make it interesting
I'll try to make it sweet
To keep you entertained
Until the next time we meet

So what's been going on
In life on the outside
Oh it's the same as usual
Only many more tears have been cried

Im starting to realize how hard
It is to be a single mother
Plus jase has been asking
For a little sister or brother

But on a better not I'm single
So now I wait for you
I know that with your love
I will never be blue

For you would never hurt me
Or put me in harms way
And you watch out for me
Even though you don't see me each day

But each day that passes
I know someone's thinking of me
And one day we'll be together
You just wait and see

I've been hurt so much
In the short time you've been gone
To the point at times
That I didn't want to live on

But then I sit and think
Of what your going though
and I decide to live
and it's all because of you

I know that in your struggle
I can help you too
I can make you smile
So you don't have to be blue

I think this poem's long enough
And you should get some sleep
So onward we go up this hill called life
Which together will never be too steep
