R.I.P Valentine's Day

by Amanda   Jan 23, 2007

I used to believe in Valentine’s Day
No longer do I put my trust
For the man I once gave my heart to,
crumbled it to dust

No more heart locket hanging from my neck
Dead flowers decompose in a vase
No more sweet tender cards,
to put a smile upon my face

‘I love you’ became a hobby
Phone calls from you slowly faded
By the phone I’d sat there sobbing
feeling hurt and degraded

All along I thought it was true love
a day once a year could not compromise
For I thought it was fate
when I looked into your eyes

Now Valentine’s Day seem so worthless
No more You to share that special day
For I had my heart broken in two,
on that-so-called Valentine’s Day
