Not A Home

by Unseen Exposure   Jan 25, 2007

Time;
There is no stopping it.
Change;
There is no escaping.
I tried to stay beside you,
But emotions pulled you away.
I wandered, lonesome-
Searching for a home.
But this home away from home:
Is not a home at all.

Time;
Pushed forward, on and on.
Change;
Continued to capture us.
My attempts went numb,
And so did yours.
Though you found shelter and comfort.
I am lost in change;
Forgotten with time.

Now sitting next to you,
I feel like we're worlds apart.
Whispering the words into someone else's ears,
When it should be mine.
Someone else's shoulder catches your tears;
... It should be mine.
I am not at home.
I am not at home.

So you got tired,
You ripped away my comfort;
Now I am not at home.
My past is in your heart;
My memories are in your mind-
So Please, Remember Me.

When time fades my image;
When change breaks you down-
Find comfort in this home;
And I ...
I will be waiting.
