What's The Word?

by Not Bulletproof   Jan 30, 2007

Like the tide, these words mean nothing,
but carry so much power.
A force so immense it could destroy you,
or they could save you.
I guess it's whichever you prefer.

I carry these words in case of emergency,
(keep the ambulance nearby).
You could love, or you could hate me,
but what would that matter if I died?
What would that matter if you died?
These words are dangerous and hateful;
oh, they can be a mouthful.
(Don't bite off more than you can chew.)

I'm so filled with anger that I can only fake;
I'm the next Mercutio.
I beg your pardon, sir, forgive my mistake,
I've cut you up and torn you down,
left you bloody, upon "God's good ground".

But oh, the feelings of joy that I can feel,
are overwhelming time and time over,
and the words I speak now, are not only real,
but true, too.

I'm so filled with love and happiness;
I'm the next Romeo.
Come with me, let me take you away,
to a world of love without the gray!
I'll be the biggest fan of your life,
and worship the ground you walk on.
My words can be sweet and nice,
sugar-coated words with spice.

My words can be sweet or sour,
oh but jeez, look at the hour.
Yes, yes, the clock tower strikes noon!
I suppose I better be going soon.

Just a reminder; something to think of,
these words I speak, may be filled with love,
but they could also be full of anger,
so watch your step, watch your ways,
you never know what's the word today.
