A Mothers Concern

by Amara   Feb 7, 2007

A Mothers touch is something sweet
As she kissed those tiny little feet
Up at all hours just to feed
There wasnt a thing I didnt need
I needed shoes, I needed socks
I needed toys to put in my box

As I grew older we grew apart
She knew it wouldn't last from the Start, The hugging, the kissing
The reading, the playing
Has now turned to fighting and Arguing, cursing and complaining
Fighting to be free from the nest
And complaining to be like the rest

She gave me my wings and let me Fly, And those three years just flew By, We both wish it could've lasted
The hugging and kissing
And cursing and complaining

She gave me my wings to be like The rest, And three years later She's laying me to rest

Dedication to all the mothers
Who have given away the
Wings to fly
