As I turn off the lights
and get into bed
I rummage through thoughts
of you in my head

I ponder a life
with you by my side
you lighting the darkness
where i used to hide

You love me the most
when I am myself
The mask that i wore
now resides on a shelf

You uncovered the person
that was drowning in pain
in this psychotic world

I am thankful to have
