Jump.

by Ironic Allure   Feb 26, 2007

I'm punching holes in your memories,
to cut out your heart and open up your mind,
we'll see you through the dark side together.
I'll tie our promises with elastic bands,
a little less cliched than the joining of hands,
and if you say you need to jump,
I'll be the reason you can't.

I'd like to thank you for the photographs,
they're what I'll picture when i look back,
and remember this one time when things were easy.
I'd like you to know that i forgive you already,
you were young and i was dumb,
nothing else mattered if we had our fun,
I've got your voice sound tracked to the telephone.

i saw the sun the day you tried to fly,
honestly, is there a chance you remember anything?
somehow i didn't have the patience to listen.
the others ran away, but i promise you i tried.
I'm not sure how long i waited exactly,
because i know you've been abandoned, just don't abandon me.
i always said not to jump too high.

i trust that you can see it too,
the concrete's covered in water,
the moon scrapes along the sky,
jump, jump,
i have the faith that you can fly.
