Lost without you

by in.need.of.a.lucky.charm   Feb 27, 2007

Like a song without its words,
Just another melody in the night,
Played with a longing echo,
Where words were never made to recite.

Like a body without a soul,
Just another empty shell,
Living as a zombie,
Where only loneliness can dwell.

Like a mind without a thought,
Just another vacated space,
Intellectually void,
Where all intelligence is erased.

Like an iris without color,
Just another unanimated wink,
A cold and glassy stare,
Where it automatically blinks.

Like a heart without a beat,
Just another hollow hole,
Waiting for revival,
Where death is in control.

Like me without you,
Just another loveless heart,
If you were to leave,
It would tear my world apart.
