Til Death Do Us Apart.

by Annabel   Mar 3, 2007

"I'll stay with you
'Til death do us apart."
What absolute nonsense!
Such absurdities are never reality.
Unless it's the playwright
Or perhaps Austen's kind words.

Times change,
Circumstances differ,
And no one individual can promise forever.

However, moments of now,
Filled with laughter and joy,
Must keep close to your heart,
To be stored, and, later
Retold as glorious memories
Though life is astray.

The love that you had
Never to be burnt out,
He learned to love another,
Of that there is no doubt.

You will never forget him
And to try would be a sin
But to learn to love another
Is the life you must welcome in.

Aww sweet poem but kind of sad too. My favorite part was:
    "You will never forget him
And to try would be a sin
But to learn to love another
Is the life you must welcome in."

    That was just excellent!
    5/5
