A Year

by Bethan   Mar 13, 2007

Summer days drift lazily away,
Azure skies turn moonstone grey,
Now Autumn leaves begin to turn,
From emerald green to rich auburn,

Autumn leaves and winter's here,
Bringing cold and festive cheer,
Celebrations and Christmas lights,
Dark days and long winter nights,

And once again the Earth awakens,
Long after New Year's celebrations,
The blanket's lifted, Spring creeps in,
Unlocking Earth's secrets lost within,

Flowers bloom and children play,
All longing for the holiday,
For spring weather is fresh and clear,
But wind and rain don't bring much cheer,

A whole year's passed now Summer's here,
The most fun filled season of the year
Enjoy hot, sunny days while they last,
For season's all are quickly past.
