Torn Apart

by Sildaekar   Mar 14, 2007

They were happy together,
They couldn't stand being apart,
Everyday when he got home,
To the phone he would dart.

Everyone said,
They where good together,
She would whisper into his ear,
Ill love you forever.

One night she came over,
Crying and full of tears,
She was delivering news,
Telling him his worst fears.

She said they together,
They couldn't be,
As she cried out her eyes,
Like a raging sea.

She sat by him,
Told him that the pain she couldn't bear,
If he ever found another,
And told her he didn't care.

That night after she left,
He cried himself to sleep,
His eyes were stained red,
From the blood he continued to weep.

This didn't make sense to him,
The reason he didn't comprehend,
His world was ripped apart,
By the closest of friend.

The following days,
He walked through school,
He was but a shell of himself,
With no energy or fuel.

A week later,
He pretended everything was alright,
Called her and apologized,
Then told her good night.

Early the next morning,
While waking him for school,
His mother found him on the ground,
The blood around him in a pool.

The coroner collected his body,
The police labeled it suicide.
Two days later she was handed a letter,
When she read it she fell down and cried.

He is dead, he killed himself,
This he wanted to give to you
She opened the letter,
And read it through.

I am sorry, but you
Ripped out my soul,
You tore apart my world,
You left my heart a hole.

She looked down at the letter,
Stained in red,
She knew this was the truth,
He was in fact dead.

Later that night,
Her roommate found her in her room,
And found a note in her hand saying,
Ill be with him soon.
