Rain in the Fireplace

by x Mo x   Mar 15, 2007

Drip. Drop. Drip. Drop.
The fire slowly dies.
Drip. Drop. Drip. Drop.
Rain falls from the sky.

The room fills with cold
As the fire disappears.
Shadows fade from the walls
As children's hearts fill with fear.

The rain slows down.
Drip...Drop...Drip...Drop...
The flames are dead.
Drip....Drop....Drip....Drop....
