A Mask {Sedoka}

by xTheEcstasyOfSuicidex   Mar 20, 2007

Shimmering, gently,
Emeralds sparkle in the light,
On a mask of hidden lies.

Shimmering, gently,
Diamonds softly shine in fog,
On the mask of tomorrow.

    I loved your choice of words in this poem! people are saying that this poem is too short for their liking and downvoting it because of that i dont think they realise that this style is ment to be short :/ oh well their loss on actually understanding how beautiful this poem has come to be. Definitly an amazingly penned poem written here. Fine work on all your poems. I enjoyed reading these and it has kept me interested! well done sheena. You are very talented. Look forward to reading more poems to come by you. ~mel

    Not your best poem but i still enjoyed the poem. A little too short for my interest... but then again, i love emily d!k!nsons poetry so i should be used to it by now.

    Besides that, well written and nice vocabulary. I hope to see some longer ones!

    On the mask of tomorrow.

    To me this went deeper than anything nature could hold on her own, it pauses to allow a reader to think on this mask and what tomorrow holds--what natre could take before the mask gives way. Wonderful
