What a breathtaking poem!

A shell now lies in deepened sorrow
No heart to speak of as I fade
And should I die come this tomorrow
Lay not a flower on my grave.

Yet so dark at the same time. It was written brilliantly.

Awww Jeannie this stanza makes me want to cry. 3rd line my-me but you most likely already know that but can't fix it cuz the stupid edit isn't working .....Auggggg

The entire poem just made me want to cry and even gave me a little shot of goosebumps. Jeannie you have such a wonderful way of making the reader feel your words.

This was a really heart wrenching piece.It just grabbed me. I know these feelings all too well.

For as the darkness captures breath
Pain falls upon me, this lonely night

Wow... the imagry in this poem was amazing!! I love the message, if you don't love me now, you shouldn't miss me when I'm gone, so don't come crying to me because you missed out... just... wow... wonderful.. it gave me chills reading it, but good chills. Emotionally, this poem spoke volumes. So much anger and regret.. yet it was so beautifully penned.. wow... it deserves more than a 5/5.. sadly, that's what I'll have to settle for!! You have awesome talent. It was an awesome write, but an even better read
