Oh tree

by Finalgravedigger   Apr 2, 2007

Oh tree, what do you see?
With your eyes what can you tell me. I know you cannot speak but you have what I seek.
You know so much, how old you must be.
What is life to you standing so tall and still what can it mean?
you have so many arms and green leaves and than I can see, i can see what you see. Do you live for them? The small fury animals that surround thee, the tiny insects that depend on you. O how great you must be. Thank you tree. I may not know what life is but Ill live for those around me.

This is a wonderful piece of poetry. Its simplicity and pureness in tone make it enjoyable to read, not to mention that it seems objective in manner and yet at the same time a tinge of something personal as well. :)
all the best and take care.

I don't want to sound like everyone else so I am trying to think of a way to say it. You tie the tree so well with EVERYONE'S life in general, yet it still sounds like it is just for you. Your poem is very well put. Marvelous job.
